Bassano del Grappa

Bassano del Grappa (25 km.) a pretty town full of artistic/historical attractions, and thanks to its favorable climate, it is famous for the cultivation of asparagus and the distillation of grappa.
Walking around the squares and porticoes of the old town, you can visit the numerous churches and the famous Bridge, also known as Ponte degli Alpini, one of the most famous and characteristic bridges in Italy, built in 1209 and today the symbol of the city. Not to be missed:
the Alpine Museum, the Ossuary Temple of Bassano, the Civic Tower, the Ezzelini Castle, the Church of St. Francis, the Church of St. John the Baptist, the Cathedral of St. Mary in Colle, the Gate of Graces and Porta Dieda. Monte Grappa itself, theater of the massive warfights of the First and Second World War, and the Military Shrine at the top of the mountain, also deserve a visit.
